One Day Road Trip

We went on a road trip to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. A short overnight trip to do something before the big surgery and to do something over the winter holiday break. We planned a trip to the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Harley-Davidson Museum – two top things to do in the city.

I wasn’t expecting much, especially after telling a friend that we were planning a trip there. She didn’t think there would be too much for me to look at, but I was completely taken aback by the architecture. The museum had plenty of “big name” artists to see – an Andy Warhol piece, a Picasso piece, several Renaissance art paintings, and other contemporary artists that seemed more interesting to our kids.

On Repeat – Photography Exhibition

A photography exhibition existed on the basement floor. I had plenty of time to walk through and see some incredible images, thanks to my family waiting patiently for me to talk through the space. I saw in person a Carrie Mae Weems triptych, which was three square format images printed in black and white (maybe a Hasselblad?) – titled, “Untitled (Black Love)” 1990/1992.

I cannot possibly write down all the photographers and their works here, so I am posting images of their images for my memory bank.
